Like the movie coming to America, with its experiences of new culture, phrases, and mannerisms; so was Hope's actions, struggles, and observation in the strangeness of the surroundings of pure greenness! Would her prim and proper upbringing be any match for what and who she encounter in this strange place of wildlife and creepy sounds! Broken down probably, hungry, probably, starving, probably, thirsty, probably, lonely, probably, afraid, probably... But what was imbedded in the mind of a nine-year-old person - child, to try her best and survive this kind of atmosphere! of big rats, big lizards, small lizard, black snakes, green snakes, brown snakes, alligator and their off-springs, crocodiles and their hatchings, noisy monkeys, swinging monkeys on pudding whiz, singing birds hovering overhead and black crows waltzing beneath the blue sky navigating for their share of scavengers from those who had lost their battle with life, were now decaying in the jungle and being food for many other organisms who depended on such to obtain their special treat of delicacy!
