Firstly, decide on the subject you want to write about. Something you are passionate about. When you care about the subject, your readers will too. Write a title that will grab your readers. Follow the title by your name. For instance; “How to write an article”, with “by Amanda Thompson” underneath.
Start with an interesting sentence that will hook your reader. Write a good argument. Support this with facts about the subject. The headline and first sentence should give your readers an idea what the article is about. Try to keep your article to 4 paragraphs, depending on which audience you want to target.
In the body of the article, sum up the entire idea you are trying to get across. Back it up with facts, quotations or statistics if you have them. Conclude the article in your last paragraph. The conclusion ties it all together, rounding off your article. If you are writing an article about something you are not familiar with, do research on the topic.
A good article makes an impression on readers, and it makes them think. If you can do that, you will be a successful article writer. The list of possibilities are endless, the topics are varied. Choose one or two, and write that article. Then send it out to be published. Whatever you do, keep on writing.
